Sheldon P. Berger

EMERITUS (retired from PRACTICE of law)

Sheldon Berger is one of the founders of the firm and has retired from the practice of law.

Sheldon specialized in real estate law, including acquisitions, sales, private placement and syndication, construction transactions, joint ventures, financing, leasing and subdivision, with expertise in development, financing, leasing, operation, acquisition and disposition of mobile home parks, office buildings, apartment complexes, subsidized housing and shopping centers. Sheldon also represented a number of other business enterprises in their organization and general corporate matters, including acquisitions, sales and mergers.

Sheldon was a lecturer for the California Continuing Education of the Bar on current developments in real property law, with emphasis on financing, sales and tax issues. He is the author of the California summary in a 50-state compendium of mechanics’ lien laws, and the co-author of the real estate section of Eighteen Chapters on American Law, a Taiwanese publication.
