Michael Baum, through his professional corporation, is Of Counsel to the Firm.  Mr. Baum brings 35 years of experience to Resch Polster & Berger LLP and has represented a wide array of clients.

Mr. Baum specializes in corporate and business litigation, and has developed a reputation as one of the premier lawyers in the Fashion and Apparel Industry.  Mr. Baum’s clients span the full range of entities involved in Fashion and Apparel: fabric mills, printers, converters, importers, designers, manufacturers, factors, and major national retail chains.  Throughout his career, because of his expertise with both litigation and transactional issues unique to the Fashion and Apparel Industry, Mr. Baum has been able to provide valuable guidance to both “start-ups” as well as established entities in the industry in all phases of their operations.

Mr. Baum’s broad based practice also includes corporate and partnership control disputes, financial institution liability, real estate matters, commercial obligations, unfair competition, and intellectual property disputes involving copyrights, trade marks, and trade secrets.

Mr. Baum has extensive experience in the application of provisional remedies including attachments and injunctions which, when available, often allow a client to achieve its litigation goals in an expeditious and economical manner.

Mr. Baum received his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1972, and received his Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law in 1975. Mr. Baum is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is a founder and Executive Committee member of its Pre and Post Judgment Remedies Committee, a member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and is admitted to the State Bar of California.
